Grav Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Grav iPhone app ("Grav," "the app") handles your information. Grav is published by Thomas Eastman ("we," "us," or "our"). We built Grav so that it works entirely on your device, and we do not collect personal information.

1. Age Requirement (18+)

Grav is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. By downloading or using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, please do not use Grav.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically, Grav does not:

Require you to create an account or sign in
Ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details
Collect your location
Access your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, or files
Use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools
Include third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data
Send any information over the internet to us or anyone else
3. How the App Uses Your Device

To do its job, Grav uses the following features of your iPhone. All of this happens locally on your device, and none of it is recorded, stored, or shared:

Speakers: Grav plays tones and a short test sound that it generates on your device. It does not record audio.
Haptics (Taptic Engine): Grav makes your phone vibrate during a cleaning cycle.
Screen auto-lock: Grav keeps the screen from locking while a cleaning cycle or speaker test is running. Auto-lock goes back to normal as soon as the cycle ends.
Grav does not ask for any system permissions to use these features.

4. Data Storage

Grav does not save any personal data on your device or on any server. Your settings, such as the cleaning mode you picked, last only while the app is open.

5. Third-Party Services

Grav does not share information with third parties because it collects none. When you download the app, Apple processes your purchase and download through the App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These do not identify you personally, and we use them only to fix bugs and improve the app. You can turn this off at any time under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

6. Tracking

Grav does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it does not use your device's advertising identifier.

7. Children's Privacy

Grav is not directed to children and is intended only for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Because the app collects no personal information, there is no information about children for us to hold. If you believe a minor has used the app and have any concerns, please contact us.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) may give you the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. Because Grav does not collect or store personal information, we have no such data to provide, change, or delete. We do not sell or share personal information. 9. Security

Everything Grav does happens on your device, and no data is sent or stored, so there is no personal data held by us that could be exposed.

10. Safety Notice

Grav is intended to help loosen dry dust and debris from your iPhone's speaker grilles. It is not a repair tool. Do not use it on devices with liquid damage or damaged speakers, and stop right away if anything sounds wrong. You use the app at your own risk.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add features. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects how your information is handled, we will update the app's privacy details on the App Store as well.
